How long have you been designing kitchens for? How did you get into it?

I’m new to kitchen design, but I’ve been an interior designer for a while, mainly working on full home designs for student and holiday rentals. I still have my little studio, but I really love the focus on kitchens since they’re the heart of the home!

Who inspires you?

I really admire is Shea McGee from Studio McGee. She has a knack for making spaces feel both timeless and cozy, using natural materials, plenty of light, and interesting textures. Her clean lines and balanced colour palettes give her designs a simple elegance that I really appreciate.

Top tip for designing?

Focus on the awkward spaces and making them functional. Once you've addressed those challenges and established the essentials, you can then play with the rest

Favourite thing about designing?

My favourite thing about designing is the creative freedom to mix old and new elements! I love playing with colour and zoning to create unique spaces that feel both fresh and inviting. There’s something really fun about blending different materials, too—it adds so much character and warmth to a room. It’s like a little puzzle where you get to find the perfect pieces that fit together!

Something you do in your spare time?

I love hanging out with my puppy, Charlie, my mischievous cocker spaniel. He’s always full of energy, and whether we’re going for walks or playing fetch in the backyard, he never fails to brighten my day. He's a joyful chaos that keeps me on my toes!
