How long have you been designing kitchens for? How did you get into it?

4 years – I designed and fitted my own kitchen when moving into a new house. I really enjoyed designing this as it wasn’t something I had done before. So thought I would get into kitchen design!

Who inspires you?

Don’t really have a person or anything specific but do have the occasional look on Instagram at design ideas and love getting the perfect solution to a customer’s wants/needs.

Favourite kitchen trend

Having minimal wall units to make the space feel more open.

Top tip for designing?

Polo top.

Unpopular opinion

Golf, and being a taxi driver for the kids around their various activities.

Favourite thing about designing?

Seeing customer's reactions to the design.

If you could design a kitchen for anyone, who would it be?

Me again, after now working in design I would probably change a few bits in my kitchen!

Shaker with wooden worktops.

Something you do in your spare time?

Golf. And being a taxi driver for the kids around their various activities.

Sam's Scandi Slab Kitchen

After extending their home, Sam and his wife Helen were very keen to change up their kitchen space, having an island as the main feature with a clean and seamless design. With this vision in mind, our Fnissa range turned out to be perfect to create what they wanted, an elementary slab design curated for those who appreciate the Scandi look and a matt modern finish.
