How to get your kitchen colour right

Choosing your kitchen colour is one of the biggest decisions you will make.

The right shade can change the entire feel of your space, from calm and welcoming to bold and dramatic.

There is no right or wrong answer. What matters is choosing a colour that feels right for your home and one you will enjoy for years.

Your designer will guide you through every option, help you understand how different colours behave in your space and make sure your final choice balances personality with long term confidence.

Colour choices that stand the test of time

Your kitchen will be part of your daily life for many years, so it helps to think about how you want the room to feel.

  • Do you want warmth and comfort
  • A clean and simple look
  • A rich expressive atmosphere
  • A bright modern feel

Light plays a major role too. Natural light brings colours to life, while lower light levels tend to deepen tones. Your designer will help you pick a palette that works with both your layout and your lifestyle.

“If you want longevity, anchor your main cabinets in a neutral shade and bring trend colours into your island, walls or kitchen accessories.
It gives you the flexibility to be creative, while keeping your kitchen timeless.”

Think about the mood you want to create. A kitchen should feel like home the moment you walk in. Start with the feeling and the colour will soon follow.

Remember – Don’t choose the colour for the next owner, choose it for yourself and your family. It can be great to follow trends but it’s super fun to start your own!’
