How long have you been designing kitchens for? How did you get into it?

I started at 18 officially but have delved into other spatial designing along the way. I always loved going around show homes and admiring the layouts and the way the rooms were dressed. So, I one day walked into a kitchen shop and said, “I want to design home interiors, where do I start?”, and from that day to almost 10 years later, here I am!

Who inspires you?

Emily in Paris – I can relate to her so much. Bold fashion, go-getter, free-spirited, embraces life.

Favourite kitchen trend

More of a kitchen style, but I love classic French, Parisian style kitchens. Something with a bit of architectural depth to the design of it, like crown moulding on a mantle, spindles to an open shelf, neutral soft colours, shaker, soft metals, and then top off with a statement marble worktop.

Favourite thing about designing?

My favourite part is building in the personal elements to connect to the user. I love a brief, or a challenge to bring in a specific theme, and then on presentation day when the first word is ‘woah!’, it’s a little reminder of how I’ve chosen the right career path!

If you could design a kitchen for anyone, who would it be?

The Bridgerton manor house! Can you imagine the detail, the class, and finest materials that would go into that kitchen?!
