Meet the designer
For over three years, I’ve specialised in creating kitchens, utilities, and office spaces. I’m passionate about shaping ideas into spaces that truly work.
How long have you been designing kitchens for? How did you get into it?
I Have been designing kitchens, utilities and utilising the materials to create office spaces of all shapes and sizes since August 2022.
Who inspires you?
My Grandad was a huge inspiration in my life. He had this incredible ability to stay positive no matter what was happening around him, and his kindness extended to everyone he met. He treated people with genuine warmth and respect, and growing up around that made a lasting impression on me. He also showed me how to make a great cup of tea! Just don’t tell the other designers!
Favourite kitchen trend
I’m really drawn to industrial-style kitchens. There’s something about the combination of darker colour palettes, robust materials, and minimalist design that creates a space with character and depth. I love the look of dark cabinetry paired with equally dark worktops, which adds a bold and modern feel. Exposed brick brings in that raw, urban edge, while touches of copper or brass help soften the space with a bit of warmth and contrast. Altogether, it’s a trend that feels both stylish and functional—perfect for a kitchen that makes a statement.
Top tip for designing?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Never leave your appointments wondering what if.
Unpopular opinion
You don’t have to choose safe or neutral colours just because they’re considered the “smart” or “timeless” option. If you don’t actually love them, don’t box yourself in. It’s your home, your space, your project. This is your chance to express yourself, to create rooms that make you feel something, to put personality on the walls instead of playing it safe for the sake of it. Neutrals are great if you genuinely enjoy them—but they aren’t the default requirement. Let your home reflect you, not what you think you’re supposed to choose. Be bold if you want. Go colourful if it excites you. Create the space that makes you smile every time you walk in.
Favourite thing about designing?
It’s the moment I realise I’ve made a real difference to someone’s home. Helping turn a rough idea into a space they genuinely love—sometimes even their dream kitchen—will never stop feeling special to me. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching a vision come to life and knowing I played a part in creating a space that people will cook in, gather in, and make memories in. That’s the magic of design for me.
If you could design a kitchen for anyone, who would it be?
Honestly—Joe Rogan. I feel like we’d have a surprisingly similar taste when it comes to ranges, finishes, and overall style. Plus, imagine the behind-the-scenes stories he’d share while we planned the layout! From podcast moments to wild life experiences, I’m pretty sure the design meetings would be just as entertaining as the final kitchen itself.
Favourite kitchen range to design in?
I love working with the Vard/Jenson door range. Its versatility makes it a designer’s dream—you can take it in a sleek, modern direction or lean into something more traditional, all with ease. The colour possibilities are practically endless too, with full access to an infinite palette and the option to colour-match to any shade you have in mind. It’s the perfect blend of flexibility and creative freedom!
Something you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love watching the Manchester Storm ice hockey team—the energy, the atmosphere, and the pace of the games are unbeatable. When I’m not at the rink, you’ll usually find me immersed in a sci-fi or fantasy book, escaping into new worlds and stories. And of course, all of this is made even better with a good cup of coffee in hand!
